Accessible Parking

Blue placard holders pay $8 per day in the Economy Lot

Accessible Parking at Palm Beach International (Main Terminal) runs through every option: Premium, Short-Term, Long-Term, and the Economy Lot all have marked accessible spaces, so you’re not stuck with a single garage choice. That means you can pick based on price versus walking distance instead of hunting for the only accessible row.

In the Economy Lot near the terminal, vehicles displaying a blue hanging placard are capped at $8 per day, which the airport labels as the accessible parking rate there. That’s lower than the regular posted Economy daily maximum, so the discount matters on week-long trips. The Economy Lot still involves a shuttle, so factor that in if walking and transfers are tricky.

Across Premium, Short-Term, and Long-Term garages, accessible spaces follow the normal garage pricing, so you pay the applicable daily rate for that facility unless you qualify for one of the specific exemptions. These garages sit closest to the Main Terminal doors, so drivers who prioritize a shorter roll to check‑in usually choose Short-Term or Long-Term accessible spots instead of Economy.

Free parking kicks in only for vehicles with a Florida Disabled Veteran (DV) plate, those with specialized adaptive equipment like ramps, lifts, or hand/foot controls, or cars displaying the official State of Florida Toll Exemption Permit. Regulars make sure their DV plate or permit is clearly visible before pulling a ticket so the exemption actually applies at exit.

One practical move: decide first if you qualify for the DV or adaptive‑equipment free‑parking rules, then pick your spot—Economy at $8 daily for a longer stay, or closer garages if every step to the Main Terminal counts more than squeezing the last dollar out of parking.
