VIP Zone

Paid entry, functioning AC, and not much else

In the INTL terminal at PAP, VIP Zone sits airside past security with paid entry for any passenger, and most flyers treat it as a step up from the 30°C-plus heat in the public waiting areas rather than a premium lounge stop. Expect a small room with limited seating, basic finishes, and far less polish than Priority Pass marketing suggests.

VIP Zone keeps roughly 3-hour visit limits in line with most contract lounges, and opening hours usually match the main international departure bank from early morning through late afternoon and evening flights. Check same-day hours with your airline or Priority Pass, as schedules at PAP shift with carriers like American, JetBlue, and Spirit adjusting timetables to Miami (MIA), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), and New York (JFK).

Access runs either through Priority Pass or a walk-up fee that often lands in the US$35–45 range per person, charged in USD or the local gourde equivalent. If you only have 45–60 minutes before boarding at an INTL gate, paying out of pocket here rarely makes sense; you will get more value if your layover is over 2 hours and the terminal is packed and hot.

Food is minimal: think a few packaged snacks, maybe chips or crackers, plus light bites that can be hit-or-miss in freshness, rather than a hot buffet or cooked-to-order dishes. Drinks lean basic as well, with soft drinks, water, basic coffee, and simple spirits like rum or whiskey, so don’t expect crafted cocktails or premium wine labels in this lounge.

On the plus side, Wi‑Fi in VIP Zone usually beats the general terminal connection for stability, letting you catch up on email or download shows before a 3–4 hour flight. Power outlets exist but can be scarce, so if you see a seat next to a working plug, take it immediately instead of waiting until boarding calls start.

Noise levels vary with flight banks; during the mid‑day departures to U.S. hubs, the room can fill quickly and feel only slightly calmer than the main INTL concourse. Air‑conditioning is the main reason regulars bother, since PAP’s public areas can feel stifling when several 737 and A321 flights to the U.S. and region are boarding at the same time.

Tip: If your gate is in INTL and boarding starts in 30 minutes, stay near the gate; VIP Zone is only worth the walk and fee when you have at least an hour to sit, cool down, and charge devices.
