Montblanc

Gate-side luxury pens and leather in Terminal 1

This Montblanc sits airside in Terminal 1 at OTP, just past central security and within a 5–7 minute walk of most Schengen gates. It’s a full boutique, not a corner in duty free, so you’ll see the white star logo on its own storefront along the main retail corridor.

Opening hours generally track flight banks, roughly 06:00–22:00, though early departures around 04:30 won’t catch it open. Prices are standard European boutique level: StarWalker and Meisterstück pens sit in the several-hundred-euro range, with smaller notebooks, refills, and keyrings under €100 if you just want a logo piece.

The shop carries pens, leather goods, small luggage, and accessories, all under the Montblanc brand. If you need ink cartridges or rollerball refills before a work trip, they usually have the common sizes in stock. Wallets, cardholders, and belts show the same SKUs you’ll see in city boutiques, so you’re not getting an airport-only, lower-spec line.

Staff handle VAT and export paperwork in English and Romanian, which helps if you’re outside the EU and want the tax back on a €400 pen or €600 briefcase. Card payments are the norm; tap works fine for contactless up to the local limit, with PIN for anything bigger.

Tip: if your gate is in the low 20s, give yourself at least 10 minutes to walk back from Montblanc after browsing, as the shop sits closer to the central food court than to the far ends of Terminal 1.
