Wow Bao

Steamed buns in Terminal 2 when you’re racing the clock

Wow Bao in Terminal 2 fills the “I have 10 minutes” gap between snacks and a full restaurant. It sits post-security along the main T2 corridor, handy if you’re flying United or Air Canada out of gates E or F. This is counter service and takeaway only, so think grab-and-go before a 30–40 minute boarding window, not a place to camp with a laptop.

The menu centers on Chinese-style steamed bao and quick rice or noodle bowls, usually landing in the $8–$14 range. Expect fillings like chicken, beef, or veggie options rather than burgers or pizza. Portions run smaller than a big airport plate, so two bao plus a drink often hits the sweet spot for a light meal around $15–$18. It’s a good way to dodge another $20 sit-down salad in Terminal 1 or 3.

Service moves fast: most orders are out in under 5 minutes once you pay, faster if you just grab pre-made bao from the warmer. Lines spike during the 7–9 a.m. and 4–7 p.m. banks when United banks its T2 departures, but turnover stays quick because there’s no table service. Staff usually keeps things moving even when there are 10–15 people in front of you.

Regulars use Wow Bao as a pit stop between connections, especially when they’re hopping from Terminal 1 to a regional flight in Terminal 2 and don’t want to burn 20 minutes at a sit-down spot. It’s also handy if your flight boards from the F concourse and you just need something less boring than standard bar food. If you’re truly rushed, order only bao and skip bowls, since those add a few extra minutes.

Tip: check your gate, then stop at Wow Bao before walking down the longer F concourse; backtracking 5–10 minutes in T2 during boarding calls isn’t fun.
