Economy Lot F

Long-term economy

$22/day gets you covered long-term parking plus the ATS

Economy Lot F runs $22 per day and sits inside the Multi-Modal Facility on Mannheim Road, so you park in a garage instead of an open lot. Regulars call it the only economy option under a roof, which matters in January when you don’t want to dig a car out of ORD snow.

From your space, count roughly a 6-minute indoor walk to the Airport Transit System (ATS) station, then about an 8-minute train ride to Terminals 1, 2, 3, or 5. One Google reviewer said door-to-gate can hit 30 minutes, so build that into your timeline on top of TSA. Trains run frequently, but they’re shared with rental car and hotel shuttle passengers.

This lot uses the ATS instead of the blue airport buses, which many people prefer for predictability and not dealing with curbside traffic. The flip side: if the ATS goes down, replacements are buses that can be crowded and slow, and that 30-minute transfer can easily stretch longer. During peak times, expect to let one packed train go by before you squeeze on.

Finding Economy F the first time trips people up: reviews call the signs from Mannheim Road to the Multi-Modal Facility “not intuitive.” Watch for specific “Economy F” and “MMF” signs, not just “Parking,” or you’ll end up looping past the rental car returns. Once inside the garage, aim for spots near pedestrian exits and elevators instead of the first open space you see.

Pay stations sit at the pedestrian entrance, and you still pull a physical ticket on entry. Keep that ticket dry and readable or ORD hits you with the maximum daily rate at exit. One last tip: if you’re used to curb drop-offs, arrive 45–60 minutes earlier to cover parking, walking, and the ATS ride without stress.
