Five minutes from most central gates in Terminal 1, Santander is the airport branch you use to fix money issues before boarding. It sits airside, after security, so you can sort out cash or cards without risking a landside detour.

You can pull euros for a taxi into Porto, ask about card limits before a €2,000 hotel hold, or sort basic account questions if you already bank with Santander in Portugal or Spain. Expect standard weekday banking hours aligned with daytime departures, roughly 07:00–21:00, with shorter coverage on quieter late-evening banks of flights.

There are Santander ATMs right by the counter, useful if you land with only cards that charge steep foreign fees. Withdraw smaller notes here if you’re heading to places around Porto where a €50 bill slows things down. Watch your bank’s exchange rate and fees; the on-screen “convert to your currency” option often costs more than letting your home bank handle it.
