Aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro, Pedras Rubras, 4470-558 Porto, Portugal

Opposite Gate 21 in Terminal 1, this is OPO’s main Pharmacy.

This pharmacy sits airside in Terminal 1, after security and passport control for Schengen departures, so you can grab last‑minute essentials without doubling back. It keeps typical airport hours and usually opens early enough to catch the 06:00–07:00 bank of flights. Expect standard European pharmacy stock: basic meds, small first‑aid items, travel-size toiletries, baby supplies, and seasonal cold/flu products.

Prices run higher than a city chemist, but not outrageous for an airport in Western Europe; think a few euros extra on common items like ibuprofen, paracetamol, or saline solution. Staff generally speak Portuguese and English, and they can usually sort out simple prescription questions if you bring a box or photo from home. Card payments are fine, and contactless works reliably for under-50 EUR purchases.

Selection skews practical: painkillers, motion-sickness tablets, eye drops, nasal sprays, bandages, plus basic skincare from European brands you’ll recognize from downtown Porto. You’ll also find travel standbys such as SPF 30–50 sunscreen, insect repellent in 100 ml bottles, and flight-friendly 10 ml eye lubricants for dry cabins. If you need a small thermometer or a pack of surgical masks before a long-haul, this is one of the few spots past security that sells them.

Plan a 5–10 minute stop here before heading to your gate in Terminal 1; queues spike right before the morning and late‑afternoon departure waves, so swing by as soon as you clear security instead of waiting for boarding calls.
