If you land late at night into T4 or have an early morning departure, this is the closest self-park option before you jump to full valet pricing.

Rates in Lot 4 Premium start around $12 for the first hour, compared with about $10 in the nearby general lot. You’re paying a modest upcharge for proximity, not a totally different product. Stalls are uncovered and open-air, and you’re still on the same side of the airport road as general parking, just shifted toward the T4 crosswalk.

Google reviewers describe the premium side as “basically across the driveway” from Terminal 4, but a few note that if you end up in the back premium rows, the walk can creep toward 2–3 minutes. At that point some say they “might as well do valet,” given the small price gap at ONT between premium self-park and curbside services at T4. If you care about that last 60 seconds, pull through the rows until you’re near the pedestrian path.

Regulars mention they mostly choose Lot 4 Premium during bad weather or for arrivals after midnight, when standing outside for an extra 5–10 minutes between shuttle stops feels worse than paying a few extra dollars. For daytime flights, many slide back to general parking unless their schedule is tight. One simple tip: if your flight departs or lands at T2 or IT instead of T4, skip this lot and save the premium fee, because you’ll be walking in the wrong direction.
