Gate-side grab-and-go near North Terminal security
Right past the North Terminal checkpoint, 50th Street Market functions as OMA’s basic convenience stop for last-minute snacks and travel essentials. It sits landside-adjacent in concept, but you’ll only reach it post-security, so plan to hit it after TSA rather than walking back out.
50th Street Market runs standard airport hours, roughly first departure to last (think 5:00 a.m. to around 9:00–10:00 p.m.), covering the early Southwest and Delta bank plus the late-night stragglers. It targets quick turnover: grab a drink, pay, and be back at your North gates in under 5 minutes if the line is short.
Pricing runs in typical airport range: expect bottled drinks around $3–$5, candy and chips roughly $2–$4, and basic toiletries like pain relievers in the $5–$8 band. Nothing here qualifies as a budget miracle, but it’s cheaper than getting stuck buying snacks on a regional jet with a 100-seat cabin and limited service.
Food is all packaged: chips, candy bars, protein bars, nuts, and a small cooler with bottled water, sodas, and maybe an energy drink or two. If you want real food, head to the main concessions area near the center of the terminal; use 50th Street Market mainly for backup snacks and drinks to cover a 2–3 hour delay.
Last tip: hit this shop before walking to the far end of the North concourse; once you’re at the end gates, you won’t want to backtrack 5–10 minutes just for a bottle of water.
