OMA flyers keep asking about Starbucks, but it isn’t open yet.
Starbucks shows up only in Eppley Airfield’s 2027 terminal modernization plan, so there is no actual Starbucks operating in the North or South terminals right now. The airport’s own BuildOMA documents list it as a future concession, not a current tenant, which catches a lot of travelers off guard at 5:30 a.m. boarding calls.
The plan calls for Starbucks in the new post-security concourse areas, tied to the modernization project that runs through roughly 2027. Until that construction finishes and the new concessions open, you’re limited to existing coffee options already in the terminal, and none of them carry the Starbucks name or the standard menu of cold brew, refreshers, or seasonal drinks.
If you absolutely need a Starbucks-standard drink or are chasing a specific reward-star redemption, you have to buy it in town before reaching Eppley Airfield at 4501 Abbott Drive. Once you pass security in either the North or South side of OMA, you will not find a Starbucks counter, a Starbucks-branded kiosk, or even a licensed cart near the gates.
Budget-wise, expect airport Starbucks pricing once it does arrive, likely in line with other U.S. airports where a basic tall latte usually runs around $4–$5 before tax and a breakfast sandwich lands in the $5–$7 range. For now, whatever you buy at OMA’s existing vendors will follow similar airport markups, just without the Starbucks label or the ability to scan the Starbucks app.
Practical tip: if a barista at OMA tells you Starbucks is “coming,” that’s true but not immediate, so plan coffee runs in downtown Omaha or near your hotel before you head to the airport 2 hours ahead of departure.
