$10 per day buys you a backup plan on OMA’s north side.
North Economy sits about 0.6 miles from the terminal and works best when South Economy starts filling up or traffic is already feeding you in on the north approach roads. It’s a remote surface lot with a flat $10.00 daily rate and a posted $70.00 weekly cap, so you don’t pay extra just because you got pushed to overflow.
The airport lists North Economy separately from South Economy on OMA’s live parking tools, which is the tell that this is a distinct spillover lot, not just a renamed corner of the main economy field. That separate feed makes it easier to check in real time if North has space before you commit to looping the south side and burning another 10–15 minutes in airport traffic.
Shuttles run on a 15-minute loop, with about 15 minutes total from pickup in North Economy to drop at the terminal doors on the North side. Build that half hour into your timing: park, wait for the bus, load bags, then ride in. At $70.00 for a full week, this is still cheaper than many off-airport operators that quote similar shuttle times around Eppley.
OMA’s remote lots feed both North and South terminal check-in zones, but North Economy lines up better for the North terminal side if you’re trying to avoid a long curbside shuffle with bags. There aren’t widespread complaints about this lot yet, mostly because usage stays lighter until South Economy tightens. Tip: pull up the airport’s live parking availability while you’re still on I-480; if South Economy shows yellow or red, just commit to North Economy and skip the extra loop.
