You park in a garage-style covered structure, not an open lot, so the car is shielded from the strong Oklahoma sun and surprise hail.

The walk from your space to the Main Terminal doors runs about 5 minutes at a normal pace, since the facility sits directly next to the terminal complex. No shuttle timing to think about, no extra 10–15 minutes to build in just to get to security. For early departures out of Main, you can park at Covered South, walk to check-in, and still be at your gate with time to spare.

Rates at $12 per day price this as a step up from economy uncovered parking, but below the cost of premium valet-style options. It suits longer trips where you want the car sheltered for 4–7 days or more instead of risking hail damage in the surface lots. Use the ticketed entry lanes, grab a physical ticket, and pay at the exit machines by card.

There’s no south-side-only quirk here; it’s essentially the twin of Covered North Parking next door to the Main Terminal, just on the opposite side of the building. If one structure looks full when you pull in along Terminal Drive, checking the other adds maybe 2 extra minutes of driving.
