Gate 23 in Terminal 1 puts Stinger Ray’s right on your path
This is the sit-down option by Gate 23 in Terminal 1, open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. It’s post-security, so you’re safe to order a drink without clock-watching TSA lines. Think casual bar-and-grill: burgers, fries, Maui-ish twists, plus full bar service with tropical cocktails and local beer.
Food runs airport-expensive: plan on around $18–$25 for a burger or sandwich and about $10–$15 for appetizers. Draft beers usually sit in the $8–$10 range, cocktails higher. Service pace lines up with a normal airport sit-down spot, not fast food, so pad in 30–40 minutes if you want a hot meal before a flight out of Gate 23 or nearby gates 21–25.
The bar side matters here: it’s one of the easier spots in OGG Terminal 1 to grab a proper drink and watch a game before your flight. Seats can fill fast during the 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. bank of departures, especially around the central bar area. If you just want a quick beer, grab a bar stool instead of a table and you’re usually in and out under 20 minutes.
Tip: if your flight boards at Gate 23, sit where you can see the gate monitors and close your tab at “boarding in 20” — not “now boarding” — since checks here sometimes take 5–10 minutes to process.
