San Francisco International Airport, Near Gate E2, Terminal 3, San Francisco, CA 94128

Right by Gate 25 in T2, Burger King is the basic backup.

This Burger King sits in Terminal 2 at Oakland (OAK), past security, on the Southwest side of the concourse. It mainly catches traffic from nearby gates in the low 20s, so lines spike around the :20 and :50 boarding waves. Figure 10–15 minutes from joining the queue to walking away with a bag during peak times.

Hours usually track the Southwest schedule in T2: early open around 5:00 a.m., closing shortly after the last departures, often near 10:00–11:00 p.m. Exact times shift by season and day of week, so don’t count on a full menu if you roll up after 9:30 p.m. Morning flights get the breakfast menu with Croissan’wiches and hash browns before the grill flips.

Pricing runs higher than street-side Burger King: expect around $7–9 for a Whopper combo and close to $4 for basic fries. Add airport tax and you’re around $13–15 for a standard burger meal with a drink. It’s still cheaper than many sit-down spots elsewhere in the terminal, and you can be in and out faster than the bar at Gate 27.

Menu is the usual Burger King playbook: Whopper, chicken sandwiches, nuggets, fries, and fountain drinks. If you care about speed, stick to core items like a Whopper Jr. or 8-piece nuggets; anything with special toppings or custom changes tends to hold up the line. Vegetarian options are thin, typically limited to fries, salads if stocked, and maybe an Impossible-style patty depending on the current supply.

Seating is scattered among the shared food-court style tables within about 50 feet of the counter, and it fills up during the 6:00–8:00 a.m. and 4:00–7:00 p.m. waves. One practical tip: mobile-order elsewhere before boarding; here, just walk up five minutes earlier than you think you need and carry your food to the quieter seats closer to Gate 23.
