You Are Here Nuremberg Duty Free Shop sits airside in Terminal T1, so you hit it after security and before the gates. It opens at least two hours before the first departure and stays open until the last flight, which works for both 6 a.m. starts and late-night returns. Think standard duty free mix: liquor, perfume, cosmetics, tobacco, plus some sweets and gifts with Nuremberg and Bavaria branding.
Prices run at typical EU duty free levels, so spirits beat German high-street shops once you factor in taxes, especially on 1L bottles. You’ll find the usual big brands rather than deep niche labels, and cosmetics skew to mainstream counters as well. If you want a quick airport souvenir, look for Nuremberg-branded chocolates and sweets near the front, usually close to the main path from security to the departure gates in T1.
Because it tracks first and last departures, the shop is usually open even for 05:00–06:00 check-ins and late-evening departures out of Terminal T1. Stock is set up for same-day carry-on: standard EU liquids rules apply, but items bought here come in sealed STEB bags that work for transfers within the EU.
