Photoautomat

Four euros, one strip of photos, right in NUE T1

Photoautomat sits landside in Terminal T1 at Nuremberg Airport, near the main check-in hall, and it’s the old-school passport photo booth style, not a modern selfie screen. Figure on paying about 4–6 EUR in coins or card for a classic vertical strip or biometric-style ID prints, depending on the setting you choose.

The machine runs whenever the terminal is open, so early 05:00 check-ins and late arrivals both catch it powered on. It’s handy if you suddenly need EU passport photos, visa shots, or a quick print for rail or transit cards before heading into Nuremberg Hauptbahnhof about 20 minutes away by U2.

Lighting is that typical booth brightness, fine for official photos but a bit harsh for fun shots, and you get roughly 3–5 seconds between frames. The printed strip drops within about 60 seconds after the last flash, on standard photo paper that fits easily into a passport cover or wallet slot.

Expect basic German and English on-screen instructions, with clear prompts for biometric vs “fun” formats and a simple confirm-or-retake step before printing. Keep an eye on your boarding time: from Photoautomat to the T1 security checkpoint is roughly a 3–5 minute walk, so grab your photos before joining the line.
