T1

Gates in T1 are a short walk from the Pharmacy

The Pharmacy in Terminal T1 sits airside, handy if you realize you’re out of painkillers ten minutes before boarding. It’s a standard German Flughafen-Apotheke setup: over-the-counter meds at the counter, plus basic travel health items on shelves. Expect common brands for headaches, colds, upset stomach, and motion sickness, plus small packs that fit in a 1-liter liquids bag.

Typical airport opening hours here track T1’s schedule, roughly early morning to late evening on busy flight days, though exact times shift with traffic. Prices run higher than in a city pharmacy, but not outrageous for an airport; think a few euros extra for a small box of ibuprofen or nasal spray. Staff usually handle English well enough to decode symptoms and suggest the German equivalent of what you use at home.

Stock also covers quick fixes: blister plasters, basic bandages, disinfectant wipes, small sunscreen tubes, and travel-size hygiene items in 100 ml or less. If you need anything prescription-based, German rules apply, so bring your script; without it, you’re limited to OTC options. Payment by major credit card is standard, and contactless terminals work with Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Tip: If you’re prone to sinus issues on descent, stop here in T1 for decongestant spray before you clear security and get stuck with only what’s in vending machines near the gates.
