Opens early by T1 check-in, so you can eat before security
Mövenpick Marché sits landside in Terminal 1 at Nuremberg Airport, just opposite the main check-in desks, and usually opens around the first departures of the day. That makes it one of the few spots where you can grab a proper breakfast before you even drop a bag. It runs through the afternoon, so you can also use it as a meeting point if someone lands into NUE and you’re picking them up in the public area.
Pricing runs in the mid-airport range: expect to pay around €3–€4 for a coffee and closer to €6–€9 for sandwiches or hot dishes, depending on what’s on the Marché line that day. You order at the counter, pay on the spot, and carry your tray to one of the tables in the open seating area facing the T1 hall. Service runs on a self-service model, so budget 10–15 minutes from walking up to sitting down with food, even when it’s a bit busy.
Coffee and pastries are the safe call here; think croissants, small cakes, or a slice of something from the dessert fridge, usually around the €3–€5 mark. If you have a longer wait, you can pick up a simple hot plate or salad from the Marché side instead of trying your luck with snacks past security, which can be limited at some NUE gates. Portions skew European-standard rather than US-large, so order an extra pastry if your next leg is more than 2 hours.
Tip: if your boarding pass says T1 but you’re tight on time, grab takeaway coffee and a pastry here, then clear security immediately; the walk from Mövenpick Marché to the T1 checkpoints is only a couple of minutes, but lines can easily add another 20.
