T3 to T2 Shuttle Bus

Every 5–7 minutes a shuttle links Narita T3 and T2

The T3 to T2 Shuttle Bus runs inside Narita Airport grounds and keeps the transfer between Terminal 3 and Terminal 2 to about 3–6 minutes door to door. It moves continuously during the day at intervals of roughly every 5–7 minutes, so you rarely stand long at the stop before one pulls up.

The shuttle is free, runs in a loop between T3 and T2, and is meant for passengers with flights using these terminals, including many low-cost carriers at T3 and larger international airlines at T2. Because the ride is only around 3–6 minutes, it usually beats walking the roughly 600–700 meters between terminals, especially with luggage or kids in tow.

Stops are signed in English and Japanese at both T3 and T2, with clear “Shuttle Bus” markings and terminal numbers. At T3, look for the bus stop near the main entrance area; at T2, the stop sits close to the terminal forecourt, so you only walk a short distance back inside for check-in or security. Electronic signs typically show the next bus time in minutes.

The shuttle handles both departing and arriving passengers, so you can use it to move from an arrival in T2 to a departure in T3, or the reverse. Build at least 20–30 minutes into your connection if you need to get off one flight, walk out to the stop, ride the 3–6 minutes, and then reach your next check-in or gate in the other terminal.

There is no ticket, reservation, or boarding pass check for the T3 to T2 Shuttle Bus; you just line up and board when it arrives. Buses have standard airport seating and luggage space, but during peak waves tied to morning and evening bank departures, you may stand for the short 3–6 minute ride if every seat is taken.

Practical tip: If your connection involves a terminal change between T3 and T2 and you have under 60 minutes, walk straight to the shuttle stop first and save any food or shopping for after you reach the correct terminal.
