UNIQLO

T1

T1’s UNIQLO is your last-minute fix for basics

Right in Terminal T1, UNIQLO works well for fixing wardrobe issues before a long haul. You’ll find standard men’s, women’s, and kids’ lines, including Heattech layers and AIRism innerwear that actually help on over-air-conditioned flights. Sizes run Japanese-style, so if you usually wear L in the US, start by trying XL here.

Pricing in T1’s UNIQLO tracks normal Japan high-street levels, not “airport markup” luxury. Expect graphic T-shirts around typical UNIQLO prices, ultralight down pieces a bit higher but still sane compared with branded airport fashion nearby in T1. Tax-free rules follow standard Japan duty-free thresholds, so have your passport and boarding pass ready if you plan a bigger shop.

Selection skews travel-friendly: packable down jackets, light joggers, and socks in multipacks sit near the front of the T1 store. If you’re connecting through colder cities, the Heattech tops and leggings are the smartest grab; skip heavy denim here, which just adds weight to your carry-on. AIRism T-shirts and underwear help a lot on summer flights out of NGO.

UNIQLO in T1 opens early in the morning in line with international departures and usually runs into the evening bank of flights. It sits airside in Terminal 1, so you need to clear security first; don’t plan this as a pre-check-in stop. Figure 10–15 minutes to browse and try on one or two items without stressing your boarding time.

Tip: Save time by heading straight for Heattech or AIRism tables, then grab socks at the register if you’re underpacked.
