Hello Kitty Japan

T1

Hello Kitty Japan sits in T1 with wall-to-wall merch

This T1 shop leans fully into Sanrio, but mostly Hello Kitty, with shelves of character goods you rarely see outside Japan. You’ll find stationery, accessories, plush toys, snacks, and seasonal items branded with Hello Kitty and friends, all airside in Terminal 1 so you can shop after security. Prices on small items like keychains and pens often land around ¥500–¥1,000, with larger plush and bags climbing to a few thousand yen.

The store layout runs tight but efficient, with racks of small goods near the entrance and bigger plush stacked deeper inside. Because it’s in T1, it works well as a last stop before international flights out of Centrair. Expect the usual candy tins, cookies, and tea sets in the ¥800–¥2,000 range, packaged in metal boxes or printed cartons that survive a long-haul flight in the overhead bin.

Stock skews heavily to pink Hello Kitty items, but you’ll also see regional or airport-themed goods specific to Centrair in Terminal 1 from time to time. If you want something light in your carry-on, go for flat items like files, stickers, and clear pouches, which usually price under ¥1,000. Bigger plush toys eat up space fast, so they make more sense if NGO is your final stop or if you still have room in checked luggage.

Lines at the single register in T1 can form in the evening bank of departures when multiple international flights board around the same time. Staff move quickly, but paying with IC card or credit card speeds things up versus digging for coins. One practical tip: walk the full shop once before grabbing anything; some designs repeat across products at different price points, so you may spot the same character art on a cheaper pouch a few steps further in.
