Priority Pass gets you into the stripped‑down Premium Lounge
This is in Terminal 2, landside on the departures level, and it feels like a Japanese credit‑card lounge clone of the T1 Premium Lounge rather than a full business lounge with hot food and showers. If you know the domestic bank lounges at major Japanese airports, expect that tier: seats, soft drinks, some snacks, not a long‑haul escape pod.
Look for the entrance in T2 before security near the general check‑in zone, which means you still need to budget time for security and a short walk to your gate after you leave. Figure on leaving the lounge at least 25–30 minutes before boarding for domestic flights and more like 40–45 minutes if you’re on an international departure using T2.
Priority Pass cardholders get in without paying at the door, and most Japanese premium credit cards tie in as well, but walk‑up cash entry is rare and usually not advertised in English. Always carry a physical Priority Pass card or have the app ready; some NGO staff still prefer to see an actual card and a same‑day boarding pass before they let you sit down.
Drinks typically mean canned soft drinks, tea, drip coffee from a machine, and sometimes small juice cartons; don’t expect draft beer, wine lists, or made‑to‑order espresso the way you might see in a mainline Star Alliance or oneworld lounge in T1. Snacks run to small packaged items and maybe a few individually wrapped sweets, not full meals, so plan to eat in the terminal restaurants if you’re hungry.
Seating is mostly simple armchairs and counter seats with outlets spaced every few seats, enough for laptop work but not really for lying flat or stretching out. Wi‑Fi uses the airport’s free network, so speeds are similar to what you’d see at the T2 gates, and power outlets follow Japan’s standard 100V Type A configuration, so bring your own adapter if you’re coming from Europe or the UK.
One practical tip: because this lounge sits landside in T2, it only really makes sense if you’re checking in at this terminal and want a calm place to sit for 30–60 minutes before security; if you’re flying from T1 or already past security, skip it and head straight to your departure pier instead.
