Free drinks and light snacks sum up Premium Lounge Centrair
In T1 airside at Chubu Centrair, Premium Lounge Centrair runs daily from 6:45 to 20:45 and feels like a classic Japanese credit-card lounge: basic seating, self-serve drinks, and a few snacks, nothing more. It sits past security in the main international departures area of Terminal 1, so you’re already through formalities before you walk in.
This is an airline lounge access facility, but it’s closer in spirit to a “gold card” lounge than a flagship business lounge, with canned soft drinks, hot coffee, tea and usually a small selection of packaged snacks. Don’t plan on a full meal here; think quick bite before boarding your ANA, JAL, or other T1 departure rather than a full pre-flight dinner.
Food tends to be limited to light items like biscuits, small packaged sweets, and sometimes basic finger food, while alcohol, if offered during your visit, is often simple beer or house spirits rather than anything premium. If you want something substantial, Centrair’s public restaurants on the 4F and 3F landside floors usually give you far better options, including proper ramen and set meals under ¥1,500.
Seating is mostly standard armchairs in rows with small tables, with a few power outlets scattered around rather than at every seat, so charge up in the main terminal if your device is close to 0%. Wi‑Fi runs off the airport network, which typically tests around 10–20 Mbps, fine for email and streaming but not meant for heavy uploads.
This lounge works best if your flight from T1 boards during peak morning or evening banks and you want a quieter spot than the main gate areas for 30–60 minutes. Since closing time is 20:45 sharp, anyone on later departures from Chubu Centrair T1 should plan to grab a drink or snack near the gates instead of banking on lounge time.
Tip: Eat a real meal landside in T1 before security, then use Premium Lounge Centrair mainly for drinks, Wi‑Fi and a seat close to your gate before boarding.
