Terminal 2, Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur, 06206 Nice, France

Terminal 2 regulars head to Illy Caffè when they want a proper espresso, not the generic drip coffee at nearby counters.

Illy Caffè sits airside in Terminal 2, handy if you’re flying easyJet or another Schengen carrier and want a quick shot before boarding. Pricing runs mid-range for France: think around €2–3 for a single espresso and more for milk drinks, so it lands roughly in the $$ bracket. One Google reviewer flat-out calls it the best coffee they had at Nice Airport, which tracks if you already like Illy’s standard roast.

Figure this more as a bar than a lounge: seating is limited to a few stools and small tables, and reviews flag that it feels like a stand in the concourse instead of a sit-down café. That works if you have a 20–30 minute window before a flight out of T2; less so if you’re trying to camp with a laptop for an hour. Expect the usual travel-day background noise from gates in the same pier.

The coffee is the point here. Espresso, macchiato, cappuccino, and basic lattes use Illy beans, so flavor is predictable and consistent, matching reviews that talk about the “classic Illy taste.” Skip making this your breakfast destination: multiple Google comments note that the pastry case is small and options are limited to a few standard croissants and packaged items, nothing special compared with what you’ll see landside in Nice for the same €3–4.

There’s no table service; you order and pay at the counter, then either stand, grab one of the few seats, or walk your cup back toward gates in the T2 boarding area. Contactless cards and phone payments are widely accepted. If your flight departs from Terminal 1, don’t trek over: there’s no reliable airside connection between T1 and T2, so use Illy Caffè only if you’re already checked in and through security in Terminal 2.

Tip: Hit Illy Caffè before heading to your gate; once you’re down at the far-end boarding zones in T2, coffee quality drops and you’ll pay similar prices anyway.
