Gate-side French brasserie in Terminal 2, not a snack bar
In Terminal 2 at Nice-Côte d'Azur, Estivale is the sit-down option when you want an actual main course and a glass of Provençal rosé before a flight. It sits airside in T2 and runs on the pricier side (think $$$, roughly 20–30 € mains) compared with the paninis and burgers scattered around the terminal. Several TripAdvisor reviewers call it closer to a midrange city brasserie than airport fast food.
The menu leans French-Mediterranean: you’ll usually see fish of the day, a pasta or risotto, and at least one meat dish alongside salads and desserts. One reviewer mentioned “proper mains and a glass of rosé” instead of the usual pre-packed sandwich, which lines up with the plating and portion sizes here. Expect a basic glass of wine in the 6–8 € range and coffee at standard airport prices around 3 €.
Service is table-style, and this is where the trade-off shows. Multiple reviews flag slow pacing once more than a few of the roughly dozen tables are filled, especially at evening bank times for airlines like easyJet and Air France in T2. If you’re tight on time—say, under 45 minutes to boarding after clearing security—this isn’t the safest choice for a full three-course sit.
The main complaint beyond timing is value. Several TripAdvisor posts call Estivale “expensive for what you get,” especially compared with paying 17–20 € for lunch in central Nice on the tram line 2 that runs straight from the city to the airport. You’re paying a terminal premium for location and tablecloths more than for ambitious cooking.
Tip: Build in at least 60 minutes from being airside in Terminal 2 to scheduled boarding if you want a starter and main at Estivale; otherwise, stick to one course and a quick glass of rosé.
