Gate-side option in Terminal 1 with a confusing name

Terminal 1 at Naples International lists this spot simply as “Restaurant”, but it’s the main sit-down choice after security. You’ll see it in the central airside area, an easy walk from most Schengen gates in T1, so you don’t need to budget more than a 2–3 minute detour from boarding.

There’s no solid crowd-sourced intel yet, but pricing lines up with typical Italian airport menus: expect around €7–€9 for coffee and pastry together, and roughly €12–€18 for a pasta or salad plate. Factor in the usual €3–€4 for bottled water if you’re eating in. It’s not the cheapest corner of NAP, but it’s fine for a proper table and cutlery instead of a standing bar.

Opening times generally mirror Terminal 1’s first and last bank of departures, so plan on service from about 05:00 through the final evening flights. That means this works for both the early 6 a.m. departures and the later European returns into the 22:00 hour, when some smaller cafés in T1 already shutter.

The menu leans Italian: think pasta, simple mains, and bar-style snacks. With zero consistent reviews, treat anything complicated as a gamble and stick to safe airport picks like a Margherita pizza in the €9–€11 range, a basic pasta, or a sandwich you can see prepared. If there’s a “menu of the day” card near the entrance with prices printed, that’s usually the better value than ordering à la carte dish by dish.

The published rating of 1000 on the airport listing doesn’t map cleanly to Google or TripAdvisor, so don’t read it as a Michelin hint. Consider it a neutral baseline. If your layover is under 45 minutes, grab a quick espresso and pastry at the counter instead of sitting fully; the bill and card machine dance in T1 can eat more time than the food.

Practical tip: ask for the check when your plates land, not when you’re finished—this single move can save 10–15 minutes if your gate in Terminal 1 calls boarding early.
