Aviator's stays low-profile, but it’s the bar by Gate 1
Terminal 1 at MYR doesn’t have many food names people remember, and Aviator’s is a good example of that: a straightforward snacks-and-drinks counter tucked post-security near the earlier gates. You’ll see the bar seating and coolers first, then the small snack shelves. Think grab-and-go chips, packaged candy, and cold drinks more than full meals.
Price tier sits in the “$” bracket for the airport, so sodas and bottled water hover around typical airport markup, not premium-cocktail territory. You can pick up a canned beer instead of paying sit-down restaurant prices deeper in Terminal 1. For a quick sugar hit before a short hop on Allegiant or American, the prepacked pastries and candy bars do the job without slowing you down.
Aviator’s opens in line with morning departures in Terminal 1, so you’ll usually find it running by the first bank of flights and staying open into the early evening schedule. It’s past security, so you can use it as your last stop after TSA if you just need a drink for the gate area near Gates 1–3. Seating is limited to bar stools; this isn’t the place to spread out a laptop and work for two hours.
Food options stay firmly in the snacks lane: chips, nuts, candy, and packaged baked items, with no made-to-order burgers, fries, or salads. Drinks lean heavily on bottled water, soda, energy drinks, and canned beer, rather than a full cocktail list or fresh-squeezed anything. If you want an actual meal in MYR Terminal 1, plan on walking farther down the concourse to one of the larger restaurants with grills or flat-tops.
Tip: Use Aviator’s as a fast drink-and-snack stop if your boarding time is under 30 minutes and your gate is in the low single digits; for longer layovers, keep walking and save this spot for a last-minute water run before you queue up.
