Economy Lot at Myrtle Beach International Airport sits about 1 mile from Terminal 1 and runs a simple, budget play: $10 per calendar day, credit card only, no cash at the exit gate. It’s a remote setup, split into two separate economy areas, both feeding the same payment rules. For week-long beach trips, regulars use this instead of paying more than double in short-term or closer long-term options.

Expect a 10-minute walk or a 3–5 minute golf-cart shuttle ride between Economy and the terminal, depending which of the two lots you land in off Jetport Road. The cart runs roughly every 10–15 minutes, with posted shuttle hours from 7 a.m. to midnight, and reviews call it “quick” during the midday departure bank. One reviewer parked here for a week and called the walk “totally fine” at this price when they just missed the cart.

The two separate entrances cause some drama: one economy turn comes directly off Jetport Road, while the other sits across from the rental car facility. More than one out-of-towner reports GPS sending them to the wrong entrance in the dark. If you pull into the wrong side, you may loop back once, so pad an extra 10 minutes into your arrival time, especially on busy summer Fridays.

Watch out for the shuttle cutoff at midnight: travelers on very late arrivals or 5–6 a.m. departures report walking the full 10 minutes from Economy with luggage because the golf cart shuts down. Also, the credit-card-only rule catches road-trippers who roll in with cash after driving all day; there’s no cash booth to bail you out at the gate. Families with heavy beach bags often drop people and checked luggage at the terminal first, then the driver heads to Economy solo and rides the cart back with just a carry-on.

Tip: Check your flight time against the 7 a.m.–midnight shuttle window before you commit; if you’re outside that band, budget for the walk or pick a closer lot.
