Recognizable blue Air Pullman buses run direct from MXP to Milan
The Air Pullman Malpensa Shuttle is a point-to-point bus link between Milan Malpensa (T1 and T2) and downtown Milan, so you skip Trenord ticket machines and platform hunting after a long flight. Buses stop directly outside Arrivals at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and run to Milano Centrale station, which connects to Metro lines M2 and M3. The ride into the city takes about 50–60 minutes in normal traffic.
Tickets usually cost around €10–€12 one way from Malpensa to Milano Centrale, with return options slightly cheaper than two singles. You can buy on board with cash or card, from the Air Pullman counters in the arrivals hall at T1, or online before your flight. Keep a couple of euros spare in case a card terminal is down, especially late at night or very early morning.
Service frequency sits at about every 20–30 minutes during the daytime, with the first buses leaving shortly after 05:00 and the last ones running until around midnight. The bus serves both MXP terminals, typically stopping at T2 first and then T1, or vice versa depending on direction, so check the side display for “Milano Centrale” or “Malpensa T1/T2” before boarding. If you land at T2 on a late easyJet arrival, you still catch the same Air Pullman line without transferring terminals.
Luggage goes in the underfloor hold; the driver usually opens the compartment and you place your own bags, so tag anything that looks like someone else’s black suitcase. Hand luggage can go on the overhead racks or by your feet, and seats are standard coach style with individual seats and basic air conditioning. The 50–60 minute ride is fine for a nap, but bring water from the terminal as there is no onboard sale of drinks or snacks.
At Milano Centrale, the Air Pullman Malpensa Shuttle normally uses the bus bays on the east side of the station along Piazza Luigi di Savoia, a 2–3 minute walk from the main concourse and ticket hall. From there you connect to Frecciarossa or Italo trains upstairs, or drop into the M2/M3 metro level for Duomo and Cadorna. Give yourself at least 20 minutes buffer at Centrale if you are catching a reserved train, in case of city traffic on the A8.
Practical tip: buy your Air Pullman ticket while waiting for bags at T1 baggage claim, then head straight to the curbside stop and aim for a seat near the front to get off faster at Milano Centrale.
