More square footage than most T1 lounges

This is the dedicated Emirates Lounge in Terminal 1, past security and used only by Emirates premium and Skywards-eligible passengers, so it usually feels calmer than the mixed-airline contract rooms at MXP. Travellers coming off European feed flights into T1 like that there’s “loads of space,” with seating that actually matches the A380/777 loads most days rather than running at a constant squeeze.

Find it near /map.gate, with hours tied to Emirates departures and listed as /map.hours. Access is straightforward: Emirates First and Business Class plus eligible Skywards elites departing T1 walk straight in, and there’s a published /map.day_pass option when capacity allows. If you’re pricing a paid visit, factor the value of a full hot meal and drinks against what you’d pay in the main terminal.

Food is the strong point here: hot dishes rotate around Middle Eastern mains, pastas, and a couple of Italian sides, so you can comfortably eat a full dinner before the late-night DXB service. Compared to other MXP T1 lounges that lean on cold cuts and snacks, the buffet line in this Emirates-branded room is closer to what you see at larger stations in Europe, with several hot options out at the same time rather than a single chafing dish.

Drinks cover the usual self-pour wine and spirits line-up plus soft drinks and coffee machines that stay on from lounge opening to last call. If you’re flying in premium cabins, the champagne and higher-shelf bottles are worth a look before boarding, especially if your flight’s bar cart skews lighter on options. Staff service gets regular praise for checking on tables and clearing plates quickly, which helps keep the bigger floor space looking clean.

The space rarely hits true “packed” levels according to recent social posts, even before the A380 departure banks, thanks to the fact it only serves Emirates traffic out of T1. Seating zones break into dining tables, armchairs, and quieter corners so families, solo travellers, and work-focused flyers can spread out instead of competing for the same four tables by the buffet.

Pro tip: eat a full hot meal here about 60–75 minutes before boarding at T1, then treat the onboard service as a second round rather than your only dinner.
