Just off the main departures hall in T1, Enfoque sits on the landside side of security, so you can stop in even if you’re only meeting someone or waiting for a delayed arrival. It’s one of the few shops in Carrasco that leans heavily into cameras and accessories rather than standard duty free or mate kits.
Enfoque typically stocks SD and microSD cards, camera batteries, basic tripods, and small camera bags, which matters if you realize at check-in that your memory card is full or dead. Prices run higher than downtown Montevideo shops, but still beat losing a day of photos in Colonia or Punta del Este.
The shop also carries a mix of phone accessories: charging cables, universal travel adapters compatible with Uruguay’s 220V sockets, and power banks that meet airline rules for carry-on (under 100 Wh). That last one is handy if you’re about to board a longer leg to GRU, EZE, or Europe and your seat power is a question mark.
Stock shifts with arrivals from suppliers in Montevideo once or twice a week, so don’t expect pro lenses or rare film, but you can usually find at least one Canon and one Nikon entry-level body plus a couple of compact cameras. If you’re picky about brands, walk over early in the day, before outbound traffic peaks around the 18:00–21:00 bank.
Quick tip: check your camera bag at home, then plan a 10-minute buffer at T1 to grab emergency cards or an adapter at Enfoque before you clear security and head to your gate.
