Liverpool Duty Free

Gate A-side shoppers see Liverpool Duty Free first in Terminal A

Liverpool Duty Free sits airside in Terminal A, after security and before the main cluster of A-gates, so you pass it on the way to most domestic and international departures from MTY. It runs during standard flight banks, roughly from the first A-terminal departures around 5:00 am until late-evening flights close out around 10:00–11:00 pm, so early birds and late connections both catch it open.

This shop runs like a compact department store: fragrances from the big brands, cosmetics counters, sunglasses, watches and some fashion basics in one loop. Prices track typical Mexican duty free, with perfume and cosmetics sometimes 10–20% under downtown Monterrey list if you watch promos, and chocolate or spirits occasionally bundled in 2-for offers. It’s not huge, but you can walk the core shelves in under 10 minutes and still make a boarding call at gate A5 or A6.

Liquor shelves usually cover tequila, mezcal, whisky, rum and a few limited editions, often in 750 ml and 1L sizes, which matters if you’re connecting onward from MTY and dealing with liquid rules. Candy and chocolate sit closer to the cashier, handy for 100–200 MXN last‑minute gifts. Electronics and travel accessories lean basic: headphones, power banks and adaptors, enough to replace something forgotten but not a deep tech shop.

Practical move: check perfume or bottle prices quickly on your phone while standing by the main aisle, then decide; if nothing is meaningfully cheaper than in town, keep walking toward your A-gate and save the carry-on weight.
