Gate A-side books if you forgot a paperback at home

Gandhi sits in Terminal A after security, handy if your flight leaves from any A-gate and you want something better than the in-seat magazine. It’s the same Mexican bookstore chain you see in city malls, shrunk down a bit for airport use but still recognizable by the yellow-and-blue branding.

Expect mostly Spanish-language titles with a smaller English section, so plan on browsing a bit if you want an English thriller before a 2–3 hour hop out of MTY. You’ll usually find bestsellers, some business and self-help, and a kid’s shelf or two to survive a 90-minute delay with younger travelers.

Prices track regular Gandhi street locations in Monterrey, so you’re not paying the 20–30% airport markup you see on snacks at nearby convenience kiosks in Terminal A. They also carry basic stationery items like notebooks and pens, which helps if you left your meeting notepad in a rideshare.

Selection is smaller than a full city store, so don’t count on finding a specific niche title you saw in Mexico City’s Gandhi on Avenida Eugenio Garza Sada. Treat it more like a curated wall of recent releases plus some classics stacked near the front counter.

Staff usually ring you up in under 3 minutes, even when two flights to Mexico City and Cancun board at the same time from A gates. Plan your visit just after security, then walk to your gate with a new book instead of browsing your phone at the charging pole.
