Badger Sports Shop

Badger gear before TSA at Dane County Regional

Badger Sports Shop sits in the Main terminal pre-security, so you can duck in even if you’re only doing curbside pickup or waiting on a delayed flight. It leans hard into University of Wisconsin merch: red and white hoodies, Bucky Badger tees, beanies, car decals, and kid-size gear. Prices run higher than State Street, but a basic logo T-shirt still usually lands in the $25–$30 range.

The shop keeps typical airport hours, roughly first departures through last arrivals, so figure around 5:00 a.m. to 8:00–9:00 p.m. on most days in MSN’s Main terminal. It’s one of the few spots in the building where you can grab a last-minute gift that clearly says “Madison” or “Wisconsin,” along with some generic travel stuff like neck pillows and headphones in the $15–$30 bracket.

Selection leans heavily to apparel and souvenirs tied to the Badgers and the state, with some seasonal gear when football or basketball is in full swing at Camp Randall or the Kohl Center. If you only have ten minutes before TSA in the Main terminal, you can still scan a wall of caps, pick up a magnet or keychain in the $5–$10 range, and be at security without sweating your boarding time.

Practical play: if you’re meeting someone at arrivals on the Main level and they show up without cold-weather layers for a Wisconsin winter, swing them by Badger Sports Shop first and grab a sweatshirt or knit hat before you both head out to the parking garage.
