Slice-only pies run about $5 at Ian’s Pizza
Ian’s Pizza sits post-security in the Main terminal at Dane County Regional, a short walk from most gates. It’s a counter-service setup with slices ready in the case, so you’re usually in and out in under 10 minutes unless a big flight just dumped. Pricing stays in airport-normal territory: expect roughly $5–$6 per slice and around $9–$11 for a small personal pizza.
The menu leans hard into toppers beyond basic pepperoni: think mac and cheese slices one minute and classic sausage the next. Vegetarian options show up on the line most of the day, and staff are used to quick “no cheese” or “heat it longer” requests. Portions are decent for a regional airport; two slices easily cover a full meal before a 2–3 hour flight.
Hours track with the early outbound bank: doors usually open before the first 6:00 a.m. departures and stay open into the evening rush around the 7:00–8:00 p.m. wave, but late-night flights after 9:00 p.m. may find it closed. If you’re landing on the last inbound from Chicago or Minneapolis around 10:00 p.m., don’t count on grabbing a pie here.
Quality is about timing. Slices that just hit the case come out with decent crisp on the bottom; if your slice has sat through a boarding cycle for that 5:30 p.m. Chicago flight, ask them to run it through the oven again. Drinks are standard fountain soda and bottled water, usually $3–$4, with basic beer options showing up in the cooler.
Tip: if your gate is at the far end of the Main terminal and you’ve got under 20 minutes to boarding, call it a one-slice stop and eat at the counter instead of walking your food back to the gate.
