Domestic VIP Lounge

B · near Gate 1 Open · 05:00-22:00

Beer in the fridge, snacks on the counter, and that’s about it

Near Gate 1 in Terminal B, the Domestic VIP Lounge (often branded Flamingo Lounge or Mastercard Executivo 2000) runs 05:00–22:00 and keeps things very simple: basic seating, Wi‑Fi, self‑serve drinks, and snack plates. Think short layover pit stop, not a full-service business lounge.

Access is by airline invite in Terminal B’s domestic area, and Mastercard sells it as “Executivo 2000” with a maximum stay of 3 hours per visit. Regulars time entry for roughly T‑90 to boarding so they can sit out the last part of their wait without bumping into the stay limit.

Food is the main weak point. Reviews of the Flamingo setup describe cold sandwiches, small canapés, cookies, and pastries, but no hot dishes and nothing you’d call a proper meal. If you need real food before a domestic hop, eat in the terminal and then head in for a drink and Wi‑Fi instead of relying on the buffet.

Drinks are self‑service from fridges: beer, soft drinks, and juice feature in most reports, along with basic tea and coffee. Spirits, if present, are limited, and there’s no bar service as you’d see in larger hubs. It works for a quick 330ml can and a juice before a LAM flight, just don’t expect cocktails or premium labels.

The room itself is small and functional, more like a quiet waiting area than a premium club. You get standard lounge chairs, tables by the window, and at least two internet PCs along the glass, plus free wireless internet that reviewers call adequate for email and light browsing. It can feel cramped when several domestic departures cluster around the same 30–45‑minute window.

Facilities are basic: restrooms inside, but the MorePremium review is clear there are no showers. Mastercard’s listing adds complimentary luggage storage, which is handy if you want to walk the B pier for 20 minutes without dragging a roller bag. There’s a separate smoking area outside the lounge rather than a dedicated smoking room inside.

Watch out for the food gap and the 3‑hour cap if you’re connecting domestically through Maputo. One practical play: grab a proper meal in Terminal A or B after security, then enter the Domestic VIP Lounge about 60–90 minutes before your Gate 1‑side departure for Wi‑Fi, a beer, and a bathroom stop.
