Hotel shuttle

Hotel shuttle 5-10 min (Ibis hotel to/from MPL, as reported) €0 (several guests describe it as a free hotel service)

Five to ten minutes from MPL to your Ibis bed

The Hotel shuttles Ibis run a short 5–10 minute hop between Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport (MPL) and the Ibis properties by Parc Expo and the airport zone, mainly serving business travelers who just need a straight line to their specific hotel rather than into central Montpellier. The ride is usually direct from T1 or T2 to the hotel door, with no intermediate stops.

Guests repeatedly mention the shuttle as a free service, with one Google review noting that the “free airport shuttle” arrived on time and reached the hotel in under 10 minutes. You don’t pay the driver, and the cost is baked into the room rate, which makes it a better move than a €20–€25 taxi for such a short airport leg.

Service is on-demand rather than a fixed 15- or 30-minute loop; reviewers describe the van clustering runs around hotel check-in from roughly 14:00–18:00 and check-out flows around 07:00–10:00. That on-demand model works well if your flight lines up with those peaks, but it means you should treat the shuttle like a mini-transfer you actively schedule, not something you just walk onto.

Several guests say they had to book the shuttle in advance at reception or by phone, instead of expecting it to sit waiting outside T1 or T2. One regular mentions emailing the Ibis a day ahead with flight number and ETA so a driver is planned for around 15 minutes after scheduled landing, which cuts down on lobby or curbside waiting.

The big catch: the shuttle is not 24/7, and one reviewer reports it stopped around 22:30, which meant a late arrival from a 21:45 scheduled flight ended in a paid taxi ride. If your inbound lands after 22:00 or your departure is around a 06:00–07:00 first wave, confirm exact first and last shuttle times with the hotel, in writing.

Capacity is another recurring gripe: during 08:00–09:00 check-out, a few guests say the van filled up and they had to wait for a second run, adding 15–20 minutes. If you have a tight cut-off, ask reception to put you on an earlier slot than you think you need so you have a buffer if the first van leaves full.

Practical tip: when you book the room, send the hotel your flight numbers and ask for written confirmation of your shuttle pick-up time and terminal (T1 or T2); screenshot it and keep it handy at MPL curbside.
