Relay

Gate-side stop near departures for last-minute basics

Relay sits airside in the departures area at Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport, serving T1 and T2 passengers after security. It runs through the main flight waves, generally opening early morning for the first departures and staying open into the evening bank, so you can grab something on the way to a 07:00 or a 21:00 flight. Think of it as the standard French airport newsstand: compact, predictable, and close to the gates.

Pricing lands in the usual airport range: bottled water and soft drinks a bit above city supermarkets, magazines and pocket books roughly at cover price, and snacks in the €2–€5 bracket. You’ll find French and some international press, plus a mix of sweets, chips, and grab-and-go items that work for short hops around France or into Schengen. If you need a quick souvenir under €15, check the small gift racks rather than the main food shelves.

Relay also carries basic travel gear: simple phone cables, power banks, and adaptors, handy if you realize at the gate that your charger is still in last night’s hotel room. Stock varies, but you can usually find at least one USB-C option and a low- to mid-capacity power bank suitable for a Marseille or Paris connection. Don’t expect full electronics-store depth; it’s more “emergency replacement” than “planned upgrade.”

Plan a 5–10 minute stop here between security and boarding; lines spike about 30 minutes before each departure wave, so hit Relay right after you clear security rather than waiting for final call.
