Beer on tap at Gate 3 before the SAS shuttle
Bistro & Bar sits airside in Terminal 1, past security and close to the gates SAS uses for Stockholm and domestic hops. It runs through core departure hours, roughly from the first morning flights until the last evening departures. This is the main sit-down option in MMX, so if you want more than a sandwich from the kiosks, this is where you land.
The menu mixes local and international pub food: think burgers, a pasta dish or two, and at least one Swedish-leaning plate, often meatballs with potatoes or similar comfort fare. Mains usually hit the mid-range for Sweden, around 140–220 SEK, so expect a bill in the $$ tier once you add a drink. Portions skew airport-normal rather than huge, so don’t show up starving and short on time.
The bar carries the usual Nordic suspects on draft plus standard bottled beers, basic wine by the glass, and simple long drinks. A draft beer runs somewhere in the 80–100 SEK range, with wine slightly higher. Coffee and soft drinks are available if you’re just parking with a laptop for 30 minutes before a 45-minute hop to ARN. Service pace tracks the flight bank: faster off-peak, slower when several departures cluster.
Seating looks straight at the small Terminal 1 concourse, so you can keep an eye on the screens for gates 1–5 while you eat. There are regular tables plus some high-tops closer to the bar; power outlets are limited, so charge in the general seating area near security if you need a full top-up. Noise climbs in the 06:00–09:00 and late-afternoon banks when most SAS and BRA flights leave.
Tip: if your layover is under 40 minutes, grab a drink and a quick snack at Bistro & Bar, but save full meals for longer gaps; MMX boarding often starts a good 25 minutes before departure.
