$11 per day gets you into MKE’s Saver Parking
Saver Parking sits about 0.5 miles from General Mitchell’s Main terminal on Air Cargo Way and runs as the airport’s budget remote option. The posted rate is $2 per hour with an $11 daily maximum, which undercuts the closer airport-operated garages and surface lots by a few dollars per day. It’s airport-run, so you’re inside the official system, not at an off-brand lot across town.
Shuttles run 24/7 every 5–10 minutes, and the ride from the Saver lot to the terminal is about 5 minutes when traffic is light. Figure 10–15 minutes total from locking your car to standing at the Main terminal doors, plus extra buffer at peak times or in winter weather. Buses loop continuously, so you’re rarely staring at an empty stop for long stretches.
Payment is credit-card only at Saver, and that catches people who show up with cash expecting a kiosk. Have a major card ready at entry and exit; build in time to sort out a backup if the card magstripe or chip acts up at the gate. The lot advertises airport-level security and patrols, but it’s still self-park, open-air, and uncovered, so plan for snow brushing and summer heat.
Regular MKE flyers use Saver when they want the lowest posted daily cap in the official airport lots and don’t mind a shuttle instead of walking. You’ll see more long-weekend and multi-day trips here than same-day business parking. If your flight is at 6 a.m., add at least 20–25 minutes to your normal airport routine to account for hunting a space, waiting on the shuttle, and the 5-minute ride to the Main terminal.
