Delta Sky Club

Delta pulled its Sky Club from MKE years ago

General Mitchell (MKE) looks like a small hub on the map, but Concourse D in the Main terminal has no Delta Sky Club and no partner lounge. Delta runs flights, gates, and a ticket counter here, just not a club. Regulars on FlyerTalk flat out say, “you’re on your own – no Sky Club, no nothing for DL.”

Access questions come up a lot: there is no paid entry, no Amex Platinum workaround, and no Priority Pass lounge that quietly covers Delta in Concourse D. If your boarding pass says Delta out of MKE, your options are gate seating and the restaurants in the Main terminal, not an airline-branded room with a check-in desk.

Layout matters at MKE: all concourses, including D and E off the Main terminal, share one central checkpoint, and you clear TSA first before you fan out to your gate. That means there is also no “pre-security Sky Club” hidden upstairs or behind ticketing. Flyers who walk the full concourse length, about 5–7 minutes end to end, report finding only standard seating and a few food outlets.

Prices tell the story too. Instead of a $59 Sky Club day pass, you’re paying roughly $4–6 for coffee at standbys near the D and E gates, or around $10–15 for a basic meal at the Main terminal restaurants. Multiple Delta flyers say, “Don’t expect a Sky Club here; grab coffee by your gate instead,” and then camp at the window seats overlooking the ramp.

What regulars do: frequent Delta flyers into MKE say they arrive about 60–75 minutes before departure instead of the 2–3 hours they’d spend lounging at a hub Sky Club. Many pick a window row near the D or E concourse ends to work off laptop battery and watch aircraft taxi to Runway 1L/19R, rather than spending time walking around hoping for a non-existent lounge.

Watch out for wasted time: some first-timers still trek the central Main terminal looking for a Delta Sky Club that closed long ago, adding 10–15 unnecessary minutes of walking. One practical tip: before you clear security, grab what you need in the landside shops, then head straight to your D gate and stake out a power outlet within sight of the boarding door.
