J · J6 Open · 24 hours Day pass one-day pass available; price not confirmed

24-hour access near Gate J6 makes this the South backup

Across from Gate J6 in Concourse J, the LATAM VIP Lounge runs 24 hours a day, which is rare at MIA. It sits in the South Terminal, so it’s the natural fallback when you’re flying out of J and everything else in the area is shuttered after the late bank of departures.

The big draw is access flexibility: this lounge accepts Priority Pass plus eligible Star Alliance and LifeMiles elites, so a mixed group with different cards and statuses often all get in here. Location is airside in Concourse J, so you need to be through security in the South Terminal before you can reach the entrance across from J6.

Official info says a one-day pass is available, but pricing isn’t published and access is still capacity-controlled. That means on a busy evening bank of LATAM and Star Alliance departures, walk-up sales may be refused even though the lounge itself is open 24/7. If you care about getting in on a paid basis, ask at the front desk earlier in the day, not five minutes before boarding from J6.

Food and drink sit at the mid-tier international standard: think self-serve snacks, simple hot items, and basic bar options rather than a full restaurant, matching what you’d expect from a Priority Pass partner in a U.S. hub. Soft drinks and coffee are complimentary, so it still beats paying airport pricing at a random café in South Terminal J.

Regulars treat this as the 24-hour backup in Concourse J, especially on late arrivals into MIA when the other South Terminal lounges close around midnight. If you land into the North or Central terminals after 22:00 and want this lounge, budget at least 20–30 minutes to ride the Skytrain and re-clear into J if your ticket even allows it.

Practical tip: flying out of Gate J6 or nearby J4/J8 on an overnight departure, head here at least 90 minutes before boarding; capacity rules can bite during the last South Terminal bank, and having that buffer gives you time to queue, enter, and still grab a seat and a plate.
