Most of MHT’s ramp is GA, and Signature Aviation sits on the GA side
Signature Aviation at Manchester–Boston Regional Airport (MHT) serves corporate jets, Part 135 charter, and repositioning crews on the general aviation side of the field rather than commercial flights at the Main Terminal. The FBO operates directly on the north side of the airfield, with its own ramp and landside access separate from the airline gates and check-in counters used by Southwest, Spirit, and other carriers.
This is an FBO, not a shuttle stop, so think crew cars and rental counters instead of bus bays and public transit maps. Signature Aviation handles fuel, handling, and lounge space for GA aircraft that dominate much of MHT’s movements, while the Main Terminal on Airport Road handles TSA screening and baggage claim for scheduled flights. Plan your pickup at the FBO address on Perimeter Road, not at the Main Terminal arrivals curb.
Most pilots and charter passengers use Signature Aviation for quick landside access, often walking from the ramp to a waiting car in under 5 minutes once the aircraft blocks in. Unlike the Main Terminal’s shared ride-app zone by Door 3, pickups here happen right outside the FBO door on the GA side, so coordinate the exact street address and tail number with your driver ahead of your scheduled arrival time.
For rental cars, you’ll find the main consolidated rental facility tied to the Main Terminal on Airport Road, while FBO users often pre-arrange rentals to be dropped at Signature Aviation through the national chains that operate at MHT. Expect standard airport rental pricing rather than downtown rates, and budget at least 10–15 minutes if you need to shuttle a car between the Main Terminal rental facility and the FBO on Perimeter Road.
Ground transport here really suits crews and private passengers who care about quick turn times between ramp and road rather than bus schedules, since there is no direct public transit stop at Signature Aviation itself. If you accidentally get dropped at the Main Terminal instead of the FBO, allow at least 10 minutes in a taxi or rideshare to loop around Perimeter Road and reach the GA entrance on the opposite side of the airfield.
One tip: when you book your charter or reposition, have the operator send the exact “Signature Aviation Manchester MHT” address on Perimeter Road to your car service so they don’t default to the Main Terminal pin on Airport Road.
