Terminal MAIN-TERMINAL hosts 3 airlines.

Main security sits less than 200 feet from the check-in desks.

The Main Terminal at Montgomery Regional is a single compact building, so American, Delta, and United all share the same entrance and counters. Check-in lines stay short compared with bigger hubs, and walking from the ticket counters to TSA usually takes under two minutes. All gates branch off from this central area, so once you’re past security, you’re already close to boarding.

All departures board from one gate area with short walking distances.

MGM uses a small cluster of gates in one concourse, and even the farthest gate is only a few minutes from security at an easy walking pace. That means tight connections between American, Delta, and United flights are realistic here, as you’re not dealing with trams or long concourse hikes. Seating runs along the windows facing the airfield, and you can usually keep your gate in sight while grabbing a quick snack.

Runway 28 covers both food and basic travel needs by the gates.

Runway 28 sits near the gate area and doubles as a restaurant and shop, so you can pick up snacks, bottled drinks, and last-minute items with one stop. Menus lean on quick grill and bar-style options, and you can expect airport-standard pricing on sandwiches and plates. This spot also handles packaged items like chips and candy, which helps if you want to stock up before a regional hop with limited onboard service.

Dunkin' Express handles early coffee runs and simple grab-and-go.

Dunkin' Express operates inside the Main Terminal and is the go-to stop for early morning American and Delta departures. You’ll see the usual lineup of hot coffee, iced coffee, and basic pastries, with prices in line with regular Dunkin' locations plus the standard airport bump. Lines tend to spike before the first bank of flights, so if your boarding time is within 30 minutes of opening, build in a few extra minutes to get your caffeine.

Capital City Coffee & Gifts mixes local flavor with small souvenirs.

Capital City Coffee & Gifts sits on the concourse side and combines espresso drinks with a small retail section. You can grab drip coffee or a latte alongside packaged snacks, then pick up Montgomery-branded mugs, magnets, or keychains in the same transaction. Expect typical gift-shop pricing, but it’s your best bet inside the terminal for something with “Montgomery” printed on it before you board.

No lounges means gate seating doubles as your waiting area.

The Main Terminal has no airline or independent lounges, so American, Delta, and United passengers all wait at the gates. Power outlets line some of the seating clusters near the windows, and the public Wi‑Fi is usually strong enough for email and basic streaming. If you want a quieter corner, walk toward the gates with fewer departures on the board rather than sitting right by the main screen.

One check-in hall and one exit keep airport flow straightforward.

Arrivals and departures share the same compact footprint, so baggage claim sits only a short walk from all gates. After landing, you’re generally at the car rental counters or curb within five minutes of stepping out of the secure area. The layout works in your favor on departure days too: plan 60 minutes from curb to gate for domestic flights, and you’ll usually have enough time left over to grab coffee at Dunkin' Express or Capital City Coffee & Gifts before boarding.
