Cinnabon

★ 3

Cinnabon at MGA may exist on paper more than in person

Online listings say there’s a Cinnabon at Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA), but recent traveller reviews from 2023–2024 don’t clearly confirm anyone actually buying a roll here. The brand shows up in mapping apps with a 3.0 rating, yet there are no fresh comments, photos, or gate references tying it to the Main terminal’s small departures area.

MGA itself runs as a single Main terminal with a compact post-security zone, just a handful of gates, and limited food options after passport control. That means if Cinnabon is operating, it’s likely past security near the international gates or in the central departures hall, not landside with the check-in counters. Expect airport pricing in córdobas or US dollars, roughly in line with other Cinnabon outlets where a classic roll usually runs in the US$4–6 range.

With no recent flyers mentioning Cinnabon in MGA trip reports, you should treat it as “maybe open, maybe not.” The airport’s own website and the usual review sites don’t list hours, don’t give a phone number, and don’t show a specific stand number or gate like A1 or B3. If it’s there, think small counter service: coffee, cinnamon rolls, and possibly Minibons or pre-boxed items rather than a full café with seating.

Plan on limited backup options: other reports suggest only a few snack bars and a bar-style restaurant once you pass security, and lines can build around peak departures between 05:00–08:00 and 11:00–14:00. If you care about having coffee and something sweet, buy water and a snack in the pre-security area near the check-in desks just in case Cinnabon is shuttered or out of stock.

Practical tip: aim to eat or grab a pastry and coffee before clearing security; treat Cinnabon inside MGA as a bonus, not a guarantee.
