One of only three shops in MFE’s Main Terminal

Explore McAllen sits past security in the Main Terminal as the airport’s city-themed shop, run by Lagardère alongside CNBC and Oakwell. It’s small, so think quick grab-and-go more than full-on browsing session. Layout skews toward souvenirs and travel basics rather than tech or high-end gifts.

You’ll see a mix of McAllen-branded shirts, caps, and magnets on one side and standard airport standbys on the other: snacks, bottled drinks, and last-minute toiletries. Stock rotates, but prices generally sit in the usual airport range, with basic snacks a couple of dollars higher than downtown convenience stores. If you want one stop for both a logo tee and a soda before boarding, this is it.

Hours aren’t clearly published, but regulars report that MFE’s retail opens for the first morning bank of departures and wraps up around the last evening flights. With only the single Main Terminal and a short walk from check-in to gates, you won’t spend more than a minute or two detouring here from security or your boarding area.

Biggest upside: it’s your best bet inside MFE for something that actually says “McAllen” on it, without leaving the airport. Biggest downside: selection is limited compared with city shops, and there’s no deep bookstore or electronics section. Tip: if you care about souvenirs, walk this shop before you sit down at your gate so you’re not rushed by an early boarding call.
