T&M taxis run flat-rate rides from MEX into Mexico City

T&M runs licensed taxis from both T1 and T2 at Mexico City International Airport, selling trips at fixed desk prices instead of on a meter. You pay at an official counter inside the terminal, then get a printed ticket with your zone and price in pesos before stepping outside to the taxi line. Counters sit near the customs exit in T1 and beside arrivals in T2, so you hit them within 5 minutes of leaving baggage claim.

A standard T&M sedan to central Mexico City (Centro or Reforma) usually prices in the 250–350 MXN range, with larger vehicles like minivans costing more per ride, not per person. You pay by cash or card at the counter, which means the driver never handles payment and there’s no meter running while you sit in traffic on Viaducto or Circuito Interior. Keep the paper receipt until drop-off in case you need the unit number or plate later.

T&M operates 24 hours at MEX, so you can land on an AM flight at 03:00 or a late-night arrival after 23:00 and still find the desks open. In off-peak hours, you’re usually in a cab within 5–10 minutes of paying, while afternoon traffic around MEX can stretch a 10 km ride into a 40–60 minute sit. If your flight uses T2 with Aeroméxico or SkyTeam partners, follow the “Taxis autorizados” signs on Level 1 to hit the counter before heading curbside.

Use this simple 6-step flow to avoid confusion at MEX: 1) Exit customs in T1 or T2 and follow “Taxis autorizados” signs. 2) Go to a T&M-branded counter and say your destination neighborhood or hotel. 3) Check the quoted zone price in MXN and pay by cash or card at the desk. 4) Get your printed ticket with the zone, price, and car type, which should match what you paid. 5) Walk to the official taxi stand outside the terminal doors and hand the ticket to the dispatcher. 6) Confirm the car shows a T&M logo and official plates before getting in, then note the unit number on your phone.

Watch your exit at pickup points in the city: drivers sometimes stop on Reforma or Insurgentes in the right lane, and you step onto a live street with cars passing at 40–60 km/h. If you land during rush hour (roughly 07:00–10:00 or 17:00–20:00), build a 30-minute buffer for traffic on the way back to MEX and tell the T&M driver which terminal you need so they don’t default to T1.
