Gate-side duty free run in Terminal B

Just past security in Terminal B, Duty Free Americas covers the basics for international departures out of MEM. It’s a small walk-through shop on the concourse, so you’ll see it as you head toward the B gates. If your boarding pass shows an international segment, this is the airport’s dedicated duty free option.

Alcohol and tobacco take up most of the floor space here, with standard big-name liquor brands and cartons of cigarettes behind the counter. Prices on spirits usually land a few dollars under typical US retail once taxes come off, especially on 1-liter bottles. If you’re connecting onward overseas from Memphis, this is likely your only shot at duty free before landing.

The shop also carries perfumes, cosmetics, and a small shelf of travel-sized toiletries, all inside Terminal B’s secure area. Think the usual fragrance lines you see at larger hubs, plus a few gift sets clustered near the entrance. Selection isn’t massive, but it covers last-minute gifts and basic makeup refills without sending you back toward the main landside shops.

You’ll also find candy multipacks and souvenir-style chocolates here, often in 2-for deals clearly tagged in US dollars. Those boxes pack flat in a carry-on, so they work well if you’re heading to meetings abroad through Memphis. Stock turns over slowly compared with big international airports, so don’t bank on limited-edition items or seasonal runs.

Plan 5–10 extra minutes before boarding from a B gate to stop in, since the shop sits directly on the main path and can clog up when one widebody flight boards.
