Urban Market

B

Gate-side snacks and basics in Terminal B

Urban Market sits in Memphis International’s Terminal B, past security, and works as the grab-and-go option when you don’t have time for a sit-down meal. Think coolers with bottled drinks, shelves of packaged snacks, and a small selection of pre-made sandwiches and salads. Expect typical airport pricing, with chips around $3–$5 and bottled drinks usually in the $4–$6 range.

The hours track flight banks in B, so it usually opens early morning for the first departures and stays open into the evening while later Delta and Southwest flights are still going out of the concourse. If you’re on a 6:00 a.m. flight from B, it’s one of the first places you’ll see open for a coffee and something quick.

Food is standard C-store fare: packaged muffins, candy bars, nuts, protein bars, and grab-and-go wraps. Pre-made sandwiches often run around $9–$12, salads a bit more. It’s fine when you’re 20 minutes from boarding at a B gate and just need something to eat on the plane rather than trying to backtrack to another terminal.

Drinks cover the basics: bottled water, sodas, sports drinks, and usually some energy drinks in the cooler. Expect 20 oz sodas around $4–$5 and water in the same range. There’s a small rack of travel-sized toiletries and phone accessories, useful if you forgot toothpaste or need a last-minute charging cable before a two-hour hop.

Lines tend to spike right after TSA dumps a crowd into B or right before banked departures around the :30 mark, when three or four gates are all boarding at once. If your flight leaves out of B and you want more than a bag of chips, walk by Urban Market first, scan the shelves, and decide before you commit to wandering farther down the concourse.
