Hourly Garage

Short stay

Five-minute walk from the Main Terminal doors

The Hourly Garage at Chicago Midway sits directly next to the Main Terminal, so you stay under cover from car to check-in in a few minutes. This deck is the short-stay option, aimed at drop-offs, pick-ups, and quick terminal visits when saving 10–15 minutes matters more than saving on the daily rate. You park, roll your bag across the bridge, and you’re already inside the terminal building.

This is true short-stay parking, not a long-trip solution. Pricing is structured by the hour rather than by the day, and costs ramp up quickly once you pass the 3–4 hour mark, while the daily economy lots at MDW come in far cheaper for overnight or multi-day trips. If you expect to be at the airport for more than a same-day meeting or a same-evening pickup, the math usually favors the remote lots instead.

Access is simple: just follow the overhead signs for “Hourly Garage” as you approach Midway on Cicero Avenue and then into the terminal loop. The garage connects directly to the Main Terminal via enclosed walkways, so you avoid crossing traffic lanes or standing outdoors in Chicago wind and winter slush. Elevators and stairs are right by the pedestrian bridges, which cuts backtracking with luggage.

The sweet spot for this garage is quick turnarounds: meeting someone at arrivals, walking them to security, or hitting a 30–90 minute airport meeting. You pay a premium over the economy lots for that on-foot time savings, but you avoid the extra 10–20 minutes of shuttle riding and waiting at the remote options. Think of it as paying for proximity on days when the clock is tight.

Tip: If your plans might stretch past three hours, check the posted hourly vs. daily maximum at the entrance; once your stay starts creeping toward a full day, switch to an economy lot instead of leaving the car in the Hourly Garage.
